Shining Stars

Tom and Tyson were our Burnside Shining Stars at Assembly this week.  Tom was also the Blue Homebase Room Handwriting Star!  What an awesome day he had of celebrations!

Handwriting Superstar

This week in the Yellow Room we celebrated Satriani and her awesome handwriting! We love the way you focus on your work and make sure your letters are the right size and shape!

Bucket Filling

A few weeks ago we had our first bucket to be filled right up to the top!

Hayley worked hard to earn warm fuzzies by being a bucket filler not a bucket dipper.

Handwriting Stars

Today in the yellow room for handwriting we wrote the letter y. Miss Smits had such a hard job choosing the handwriting superstar that she had to choose two!!

Mason worked hard to make sure his lower case y's were sitting nicely on the line.

Collin made sure his capital Y's were starting at the right place every time!

Well done boys we are very proud of you!

Burnside Star Work

Today Destiny received a certificate in our whole school assembly.

Destiny has been working hard to show compassion and has been helping out the new children in the Piwakawaka Team.

Handwriting superstars

Congratulations to Dexter, Mason, Elizabeth, Collin and Isabel from the Yellow Room for being our handwriting superstars this week.

We have been very impressed by the excellent effort you have all been putting into your work!

Burnside Star Work

On Thursday we celebrate the children in our team who have been showing our school values.

They get a sticker for the value they have been showing to go on their dragonfly certificate.

This week week we celebrated the work of Pagen, Isabel and Reina. They have all been showing excellence in their learning this week.

Pagen for showing excellence in her reading and learning her alphabet sounds.

Reina for showing excellence in oral language and sharing her ideas.

Isabel for showing excellence in her handwriting and her writing.

Burnside Assembly Star

This week we celebrated Reina and the excellent effort she has been putting into her learning.

Reina has been working hard to communicate her ideas in team discussions and answering questions in her reading group. Well done Reina! We are all very proud of you!

Burnside Star Work

We had some VERY proud writers today.  Maya and Riley wrote about making their ships and did most of the writing all by themselves.  They used great sounds, had spaces and their sentences were awesome!  We are all so proud of you too!
