Burnside Stars

At Assembly today we had 3 certificate recipients - Riley, Ahi and Eseta.  We are very proud of these students and what they have achieved this week.  Riley showed Integrity, Ahi showed Excellence and Eseta also showed Excellence.

We were also very proud of the three children who received Cool Kids Awards - Heather, Tyson and TK.  They were able to have a hot chocolate with marshmallows with Mr Bateman.  Thanks for bringing the teachers back a marshmallow too :-)

Burnside Stars

Collin and Alexia were our Piwakawaka Burnside Stars that we celebrated at assembly this week.  Alexia has learnt all the alphabet letter sounds and Collin has been working so hard to make his handwriting the right size and shape, and to make it the right way AND sit it on the line.  We are so proud of both of you.  Congratulations - Tino Pai!

Discovery Stars

Logan and Tom both showed the Disposition of Respect during Discovery Time.  Congratulations boys for showing this independently!

Handwriting Star

Eseta was our handwriting star from the blue homebase for her fantastic size and shape of her letters.  She sat them on the line and made them the right way.  Congratulations Eseta!

Welcome to the Piwakawaka Team and Burnside Primary Shanyn, Alex, Kahlea and Yassin. Issra introduced her brother brilliantly to the whole school.

Burnside Star

Pagen was awarded our Burnside Star certificate this week for all her hard work in learning her alphabet sounds and for increasing the number of words that she can write.  She is showing excellence in her learning and we are all so proud of her.

Handwriting Star Isabel

We love how beautiful and neat your handwriting is Isabel.  You sit your letters on the line, make them the right way, make them the right size AND challenge yourself to do this everyday.  We can see that your self assessment face for the day before shows that you think you could do it better and then today you have done that!  Well done.

Ahi was our handwriting star for trying to make his letters the right way and focusing on his work and getting it finished in time.  Ka pai Ahi!

It was Babita's first day at school today and she was our Handwriting Star!  Everyone thought she had listened well and had tried to make the letters the right way.  What an awesome start to school!
